Sean is a Director based in Arup’s Dublin office with over 35 years’ experience in Ground Engineering, including geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and hydrogeology. His experience covers the broad spectrum of building, civil and environmental markets, and a wide geographical spread over five continents.

After receiving a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering in 1982 from the Ohio State University, he worked as a geotechnical engineer with consultants in Ohio and Florida. He joined Arup in 1986, working in London, Hong Kong and throughout Ireland. He spent many years working in wider masterplanning and civil engineering roles, before relaunching ground engineering services in Ireland. Sean was Project Manager for Arup’s charitable work in northern Uganda, in association with Irish aid agency GOAL.
