Sebastian is a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore and Chartered Engineer in the UK in civil and structural engineering, with 15 years of experience working in across cities including Singapore and Sydney.

As the Maritime Business Leader for Arup’s Singapore office, Sebastian has a key focus on sustainable development and expertise in coastal protection – a national priority in Singapore’s climate-resilient plan. He has supported our public and private sector clients from concept design to the construction of notable maritime projects including the Sentosa Coastal Protection Study, Ready-Mixed Concrete Ecosystem at Jurong Port, Offshore Marine Centre 2, Seraya Ferry Terminal, PCG Gul Base Seawall, and the quay-edge structures along the Singapore Sports Hub. He has also delivered across the project lifecycle on complex and multidisciplinary involvements in low-carbon transport systems and improving walkability in precincts, such as Woodlands Interchange Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line and rejuvenation of Empress Place and Esplanade Park respectively.

Sebastian is also a member of the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and Singapore Structural Steel Society (SSSS). Through his professional network and industry associations, Sebastian keeps himself abreast with new developments and knowledge, and is an advocate of continuous learning. He is also a registered Structural Steel Supervisor and Structural Steel Engineer with the SSSS and accredited as an ABC Water Professional by the IES.

Sebastian was also a recipient of the ACES Young Engineers Award in Singapore – recognised among his peers for his positive contributions to the professional community, engineering excellence, and boundary-pushing innovations proposed in his design engineering work.
