I am an Associate Director in Arup’s Building Performance team in London. I specialise in sustainability strategy for buildings and portfolios, both during development and in operation, with expertise in carbon strategy. I am also an expert on the delivery of Soft Landings on commercial developments and have taken a leading role in shaping Arup’s approach in this area.

Over recent years, I have played an influential role in the development of the approach to sustainability for a number of organisations, including The Crown Estate, Stanhope and Warwick University. Since 2012, I have led Arup’s sustainability strategy and building performance work for The Crown Estate.

I am passionate about the performance of buildings. I believe that we can make a step change in the way our buildings perform by transforming our approach to both project delivery and asset management. I am Arup’s representative on the board of the Better Buildings Partnership’s Design for Performance project, which is seeking to establish a UK version of the Australian NABERS energy rating scheme.
