Tim Ahlswede is an architect and leads the architecture team in Germany.

As a project architect, he has already planned and realised various buildings and constructions - from research and development centres, industrial and office buildings, to energy refurbishments and interior design. As a general planner, he conducts contract negotiations with project owners and planning partners.

Good design and economy, precise construction and ecology are not opposites for Tim Ahlswede, but part of a multidisciplinary understanding of architecture. He brings diverse aspects of sustainable building into his work. Like in the development of the BRITA Campus in Taunusstein in Frankfurt, which was planned as a timber hybrid and is currently under construction.

Tim Ahlswede studied History & Political Science at the Ruhr University and completed his architecture studies at Bochum University of Applied Science. Before joining Arup, he was a member of the management board at schneider+schumacher and was responsible for quality and knowledge management, among other things.
