Victoria Janssens is an Associate Director at Arup working in the Buildings team. With a PhD in ‘Modelling Progressive Collapse in Steel Structures’, Victoria’s excellent technical knowledge is backed-up by a strong portfolio of international experience and a keen interest in all aspects of the built environment.

Having lived and worked in Ireland, Canada, the US and Hong Kong, Victoria has experience working on a wide variety of projects ranging from iconic transport buildings, stadia and high-rise developments to seismic upgrades and unique pavilions.

Victoria is a published author of a number of peer reviewed papers and is a contributing member of a COST Action TU0601, a European research group established to develop a risk-based framework for the assessment of structural robustness. In 2017, Victoria was awarded the Derrington Construction Award by the Institution of Structural Engineers for her work on Morpheus Hotel in Macau.
