I am a Senior Structural Engineer in Arup’s Building Engineering Team. I also work as a Senior Engineer and climate change specialist at the Institution of Structural Engineers.

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Arup, I have been responsible for key aspects of ambitious architectural projects across the world from the UK to Taiwan and Rwanda. On these projects I have pursued structural solutions that marry engineering excellence with social value and sustainable development.

In my role at the Institution of Structural Engineers I work for the Climate Emergency Task Group. I am involved with bringing climate emergency response into all aspects of the institution’s work, as well as leading the publication of best-practice climate emergency guidance to help our members meet the needs of our world.

Throughout my career, I have sought out socially useful projects, pushing others to become more sustainable and questioning our role as designers. As an industry, we must recognise engineering’s role in resource use and energy consumption, and the impact of our projects upon people, climate change and habitats. Through my roles at both Arup and the Institution, I hope to serve future generations of humanity in a positive and meaningful way.
