Future of Air Travel: The Future Ready Airport

Future of Air Travel: The Future Ready Airport

The Future of Air Travel (FoAT) initiative is a series of on-going forums that bring together visionaries from across the aviation industry and beyond: operators, planners, developers, engineers, economists and technologists.

These forums aim to build a detailed understanding of the drivers shaping the future of air travel across socio-cultural, technological, economic, environmental and political domains. These conversations bring to life current thinking, identifying new ideas and opportunities within the ever-changing, technology-driven world of aviation.

Our latest forum, working with GVK Innovation Lab, was customised to focus on the needs of a specific airport over the 1-5 year horizon to make it a “Future Ready Airport”. The output provided a suite of innovative but feasible ideas, or pilots, to focus the airport design and operations on becoming future ready.
