Quick reference guide for successful project delivery

Delivering Successful Projects in a Changing World: Building Resilience by Building Capacity.

Designing and implementing projects requires new skills and experience to deliver the outputs and achieve the outcomes required to meet the sustainable development challenges of our time. These skills are particularly relevant in urban environments where multi-stakeholder and cross-sectoral approaches to addressing city resilience challenges are becoming increasingly commonplace.

Arup International Development (Arup ID), with the support of Mercy Corps, as part of Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN), have developed a series of Training Toolkits in order to provide humanitarian and development organisations with easily accessible project delivery tools. The Toolkits contains pragmatic guidance in order to address key questions at the right stage in the project such as: ‘How do I define my project objectives?’; ‘Who do I need on my team?’ and ‘How do I develop an accurate budget?'

For ease of reference the Training Toolkit is in three parts (1) Project Definition; (2) Project Implementation and (3) Training Workshop Facilitation.  A Quick Reference Guide, accompanies the training, and provides a summary overview of the frameworks and tools in a format that is quick and easy to use day-to-day.
