Reimagining the future of transport across Asia and the pacific

In the coming decades, rapid population growth, ageing populations, climate change and urban migration will put greater strain on transport systems, significantly altering mobility and user needs.

This new report developed by Asian Development Bank and Arup explores the key trends shaping the future of transport in Asia and the Pacific and presents eight visions to explore ideal future transport systems in the year 2050. The report aims to prepare society for future challenges and build a shared vision for future transport and mobility.

The accompanying playbook provides tools and resources to support transport practitioners in the development of long-term strategies, policies, and transport projects.
