While transport is often understood to be gender-neutral, a growing body of research is highlighting the challenges women face when it comes to mobility.
Travelling in a Woman’s Shoes, a report commissioned by Transport Infrastructure Ireland, brings to life the experiences of women in Ireland through data and real-life stories, offering a fresh perspective to discussions about equal access to public infrastructure.
This study is the first step towards creating a more equitable travel experience and informing discussions about future policy and infrastructure design to encourage more sustainable mobility.
