Infanta Sofia Hospital, Madrid

280-bed public health centre for Madrid

Infanta Sofía Hospital is a public health centre built by the Community of Madrid to give specialised quality care to more than 306,000 more residents in the area.

This is a fully-computerised hospital with the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The use of information technology provides the hospital with a paperless working environment, helping it to be alert, responsive and efficient.

We worked from competition stage to completion of the project, using its extensive experience in design and definition of hospital construction.

The construction of this hospital was under a PFI financial model. We gave specific advice on costs over the life of the hospital and influenced the design with these findings, helping to reduce long-term investment.
