Modernisation and rebuilding of the Polish rail node.

Katowice Rail Node consists of approximately 1,000km of nationally-important railway lines and is the most important rail node in Poland.

The main goal of the project is to understand and describe the existing state of the rail node and indentify investment required over the following 30 years.

The modernisation and rebuilding of the Katowice Rail Node requires in-depth analysis of many of the projects that are planned and will be prepared during the coming years.

Arup's involvement includes the assessment of the current state of rail infrastructure, traffic analysis (including preference surveys) and multi-modal forecast. Our involvement in the project also includes socio-economic analyses, investment program proposals, terms of reference for feasibility studies and promotional materials.
