Located in the heart of Phnom Penh’s emerging financial district, Exchange Square provides Grade-A office space for local and international businesses and high-end shopping, dining and entertainment facilities.
The first stage of this multi-phase development topped out in June 2016 and it comprises a 20-storey commercial tower with 16 levels of office space located above a 4-level podium of luxury retail.
As the lead engineer for the project, Arup provided geotechnical, structural, MEP and fire engineering consultancy services as well as full-time supervision for the construction stage of the works.

The building was designed to allow future expansion, with the proposed Phase 2 development to the west and Phase 3 development to the east. The Phase 1 entrance ramp structure and its foundations were designed to support columns from the future Phase 2 development. The development will ultimately provide 30,000m² of office and retail space and a 3.5 level basement carpark.
