Fjord Link Frederikssund is a major project consisting of a new fixed link across the Roskilde Fjord in Denmark. It will relieve severe congestion on an existing bridge built before World War Two in Frederikssund.
The infrastructure project includes 9.5km dual carriageway and a 1.4km tolled high-bridge. The new link will act as a by-pass to the south of Frederikssund.
A growing link
Our Copenhagen office has been steadily growing, and the engineering and architectural team will be led from Copenhagen. The contract starts with the preliminary works which are due to occur prior the construction process. The remit covers the entire design from geotechnics, highways, drainage and bridge design, as well as environmental, maritime and water engineering.
Construction began in 2016, and is expected to be completed by 2019.
