At the request of Cyrela Commercial Properties, Arup developed a site analysis and urban strategy for the São Cristóvão neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro. This 10-hectare site will include retail and office developments.

Arup analysed several aspects of urban mobility, existing infrastructure, accessibility, building heritage, and the general urban context that will affect the proposed development and established key early solutions that could make the project viable. Moreover, our conceptual urban strategy outlines how the project can become truly transformative for this part of Rio de Janeiro.
