Shaping a strategic urban showcase

Designed as the new administrative-political centre for Hai Phong city, the project includes comprehensive facilities and serves as a hub for major events to drive social-economic development in northern Vietnam.

Covering an area of 324ha, the development consists of 14 administrative buildings housing offices for municipal agencies and a convention-performance centre with 1,500 seats.

Working with gmp Architects, Arup provides structural, MEP and fire system design services to help realise this unique multi-functional landmark.

A catalyst for development

Situated in the communes of Tan Duong, Duong Quan, Hoa Dong of Thuy Nguyen district and next to the VSIP urban area of 1,100ha, the centre is of strategic importance to Hai Phong as the city moves towards infrastructure development and administrative reform to benefit people and businesses.

The area, envisioned as a dynamic and prosperous megacity in the northern region, will feature a comprehensive transport network, water supply and drainage, energy, urban lighting, communication, as well as a modern environment.

A sustainable showcase

To achieve green design and sustainable development, we are working with gmp International GmbH, combining our global expertise with local insight, to provide a high-quality urban showcase for Vietnam. The project will also be supported by the local design consultant VCC during the implementation process to comply with local regulations.

Upon completion in 2025, the administrative centre will host major events of the city and support the government’s effort in promoting public investment capital for socio-economic development through infrastructure projects.
