A very large part of our work involves the preparation of working drawings. These are the drawings used for communicating information to many people who have varying functions and capacities.

In this issue's first article, Bryan Seymour looks at the use of working drawings and discusses the need for these to be simple.

Other articles include defects and remedial work for a new wharf at Littlehampton and the Meeting House at the University of Sussex.
