UK Central Hub, Solihull, West Midlands

The masterplan sets out 20 year growth plan for Solihull to capitalise on HS2 interchange site and surrounding region

The UK Central Hub sets out Solihull’s ambitions to maximise the opportunity provided by the HS2 interchange and surrounding site. Developed for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council's Urban Growth Company (UGC) the landmark plan outlines the vision for development and investment to position the region as a major driver of economic growth.

Arup’s multidisciplinary team has been involved in the Hub project since 2012. The growth and infrastructure plan marks the latest milestone of our contribution to UK Central, building on the high level strategic overview of the UK Central masterplan. Already home to global businesses and strategic economic assets, Birmingham Airport, the NEC and Jaguar Land Rover, the comprehensive infrastructure plan sets out a strategic direction to maximise these and the future Arden Cross development which, combined, can have a transformational impact on the wider Midlands region and beyond.
