26floorsof office and residential space

This is the first project to have six levels of basement in Vietnam and at the time was the deepest basement construction in Vietnam, in what is some of the most challenging soil conditions throughout the country.

We suggested a top-down method of construction to cope with such harsh soil conditions.

We designed a 1.2m diaphragm wall to serve as the temporary and permanent retaining wall for the 30m deep excavation. The whole building is supported by barrettes where shaft grouting technique is adopted to enhance the shaft frictional capacity, hence reducing the pile length.
