Ground investigation
The ground represents one of the greatest uncertainties in any construction project.
High quality ground investigations help to mitigate this uncertainty and shape a project’s geotechnical engineering. Our ground investigation team are actively involved in planning, supervising and reporting on many types of ground investigations that we tailor for each project.
Our teams of engineering geologists, hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers plan the required level of ground investigation to ensure it considers potential constraints. We encourage a phased approach to ground investigation to prioritise information early in a project’s development. This helps clients to understand and manage ground related risks as their projects progress.
We have undertaken ground investigation on a wide range of sites around the world, from constrained urban areas to remote locations either on land or overwater, from heavily contaminated sites to working in sensitive ecological habitats. In all instances, we adhere to the highest health, safety, environmental and quality requirements for each site.
