I lead Arup’s digital transformation in East Asia, helping colleagues and clients find better ways to deliver better results. ‘Better’ can often translate as ‘more integrated’. Digital technologies provide a powerful way to bring disciplines together and integrate them into a single workflow. The broader the range of disciplines, the more important integration becomes. My background is in these complex, multidisciplinary projects. I am a mechanical engineer and spent my early career working on complex critical infrastructure from railway stations to hospitals and data centres.

I am a passionate advocate for the data and technologies that will improve the efficiency of our designs and the quality of our projects. I take an active part in promoting the better and wider use of BIM in Hong Kong’s construction industry. That work sees me establishing the protocols, standards and training requirements that will smooth the way for a faster, more successful digital transformation of our local industry.
