Daniyal leads Arup’s assets and operations business in Australasia and manages collaborative teams across the region to help our clients optimise their assets and operations. Leveraging his solid reputation in asset management and diverse experience in buildings and infrastructure projects, Daniyal is focused on integrating sustainability and digital innovation into our projects to provide optimal, holistic outcomes for our clients.

An award-winning electrical engineer and project manager with more than 20 years’ experience in asset, project, program and design management, Daniyal has delivered numerous multidisciplinary infrastructure and building projects in Australia and overseas.

He has also designed and delivered capability development programs throughout Australasia, including Queensland, Western Australia, Malaysia and New Zealand.

Client-focused and values-driven, Daniyal is well placed to grow and diversify Arup’s assets and operations business and position help Arup as a leader in providing end-to-end asset and operations management solutions.

He focuses on integrating sustainability into projects and using digital innovation to create efficiencies. Daniyal and his team help our clients optimise the design management of their assets and operations so they can achieve optimal outcomes for the life of their investment.

Passionate about diversity of people and ideas, Daniyal believes bringing together different perspectives inspires creativity and innovation, which ultimately produces the best outcomes for our clients and communities.

Daniyal has a PhD in Innovation Management and has written several publications that showcase his work in this space.

He won an Australian Institute of Project Management Award for best paper (2009), an Australian Institute of Project Management Queensland Award (2005) and an Australian Institute of Building Award (2006).

Well regarded and highly engaged in the industry, Daniyal is on the New Zealand Transport Agency advisory panel for strategic and operational asset management.
