Josh, PE, LEED AP, is a Principal in our Seattle office. Since joining Arup in New York in 2003, he has worked on many prominent projects in the laboratory, manufacturing/industrial, biotech, data center, and commercial sectors. 

With a strong background in managing interdisciplinary teams of design consultants, Yacknowitz has played central roles in projects around the world. From a facility to house the world’s largest neutrino detector experiment for Fermilab/CERN in South Dakota to the Seattle Convention Center Summit Building to both the Grid Storage Launchpad and the Energy Sciences Center at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington, he has delivered diverse projects with both consistency and innovation.

A member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering; the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Josh received a BE in Mechanical Engineering from City College of New York.
