Khalid is Arup’s Country Leader for Indonesia. He is responsible for the long-term sustainable success of Arup in Indonesia in partnership with our clients and stakeholders, delivering quality and sustainable outcomes. His extensive experience across the infrastructure sector, combined with a strong understanding of South East Asian culture and business environment is invaluable for Arup operations in Indonesia. 

He brings to Arup 28 years’ of experience in leadership, project management and engineering, gained in senior roles across both Australia and South East Asia.

His experience includes management and successful delivery of consultancy services on several high profile major complex infrastructure projects up to $5 billion in construction value including the South Sumatera Light Rail Transit and Jakarta to Bandung High Speed Rail in Indonesia, Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1 and Truong Luong to My Thuan Expressway in Vietnam, NLEX-SLEX Expressways Connector Road and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Segment 10 in Philippines, and the Northern Busway Alliance and Brisbane Inner City Bypass Upgrade in Australia.

Khalid is an Engineering Executive & Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Manager & Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute UK, and a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers UK.
