Maral Mitilyan leads the Integrated Cities and Planning business for Arup in Türkiye and is a member of the local management board. 

Trained as a structural engineer, Maral has delivered several large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects both in Türkiye and abroad, including working as Design Manager of Turkish Airlines’ new facilities at Istanbul New Airport, and as Delivery Manager for the FCDO’s Global Future Cities Prosperity Fund Programme in Türkiye
 
Her focus is on developing sustainable cities, weaving together relevant strands including urban mobility, climate change, smart cities and communities, masterplanning and urban design. Maral is also a lecturer at Yildiz Technical University specialising in Management of Design Process.
