I am Arup’s energy leader for the UKIMEA region, overseeing a number of growing industries and sectors whilst supporting a diverse range of clients.

Within my role, I oversee a diverse portfolio of service offerings for clients across the energy system, including electric vehicles, offshore wind, hydrogen and low carbon building energy solutions. I work to bring together experts from across Arup’s engineering, project delivery, economics and stakeholder and consumer insights teams to provide truly holistic integrated solutions for clients across the UKIMEA region. As part of Arup being a truly multi-disciplinary consultancy, I am involved in a number of sectors – such as aviation - where energy is pivotal to decarbonising and achieving net zero targets.

I have more than twenty years’ experience within the energy sector and my background lies in engineering. I began my career in the gas industry working both up and downstream of the meter, including responsibility for the gas emergency call-out service in his geographic area, as a senior manager at British Gas and Transco.

Most recently, I was part of Arup's Project and Programme Management team leading teams as a Director within the London office. During this time, I led projects including the national transmission network upgrades for London Power Tunnels as well as supporting National Grid’s gas compressor programme. My has been instrumental in developing Arup’s presence in the hydrogen market, supporting clients through this evolving sector within the UK. I am a frequent speaker at conferences and events discussing hydrogen, the future of energy and decarbonisation – I am a Fellow of the Association of Project Management.
