I lead the BIM team in our Perth buildings group. I also act as leader for Australasia BIM skills network. These twin roles see me supporting the regional and global digital and BIM teams whilst remaining ‘hands on’ driving the best digital outcomes for projects.

First in London and, since 2014, in Perth, I have worked on large, complex projects in buildings and infrastructure. Standout projects for me are those with the greatest challenges. I was fortunate to work on Zaha Hadid’s Aquatic Centre for the London 2012 Olympics and, more recently, on the ‘fans first’ design of Perth’s new Optus Stadium.

I value the ability of digital tools to automate repetitive processes, increase accuracy and promote collaboration. As leader of the regional BIM skills network, it is my job to promote the team’s exploration of new processes and technologies. The essential insight, however, is knowing how and where digital tools will contribute most to successful project delivery. In my current role, I help clients put the right digital tools and processes at the heart of their project.
