As Arup Türkiye Group Leader and Director, Serdar Karahasanoğlu has more than 30 years of design experience in the industry. Working on the design and construction of building and civil engineering projects in Türkiye, Middle East and Near East, his skills and knowledge are manifold.  

He has gained expertise in creating optimum solutions for seismic design and his proudest achievement up to date is the Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Terminal, which was the largest seismically isolated structure worldwide when it was completed. Serdar is passionate about providing innovative solutions and puts sustainability at the heart of his design of large steel structures. 

He has been involved in numerous projects, including Toyota Car Factory, Ford Otosan Factory and Jetty, Istanbul Kanyon, Forum Istanbul, Yapı Kredi Operations Centre, Forum Trabzon, Ahmed Adnan Saygun Arts Centre, and Çiftçi Towers.
