A Chartered Engineer with 13 years’ rail experience, Simon has the multi-disciplinary experience in System Engineering for railway projects necessary to lead and manage the design process. He has experience of leading project engineering teams and producing technical specifications for contracts. He applies a Systems Engineering approach, establishing and embedding systems thinking across client and contractor boundaries.

Simon has specific technical expertise in rail signalling and control and a thorough multi-discipline knowledge of related railway engineering, operations and maintenance. Simon achieves better integrated technical and operational design through a systematic and inclusive approach. He believes in using processes that enable people to deliver projects efficiently and achieve the right outcomes.
