Responsibilities vary depending on position but generally include:

  • Working closely with senior engineers on multiple projects
  • Assisting in design, analysis, research and report writing
  • Participating in interdisciplinary meetings

Our program

Our summer vacation program is paid experience over the summer university break. You will have the opportunity to contribute to Arup’s ground-breaking projects, while receiving a mix of on-the-job and professional development training and building your network with the best in the business. By being part of the program, you will also be automatically considered for a graduate role, putting you ahead of the pack! Applications are open to students in their penultimate and final year of study.

What we are looking for

We hire great people, a few characteristics we look for include:

  • Studied/studying in a field relevant to the team you are applying for

  • Meet work rights requirements for chosen country – for Australia and New Zealand roles we accept applications from Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents

  • Prior project and/or internship experience

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team

  • Self-motivated, innovative thinker and willing to take on new challenges

  • Well-rounded people, with extra-curricular interests and most importantly a passion for the work we do
