The application process
Arup strives to be a great place to work and develop. And to keep it great, we’re looking for exceptional people to join us. As well as having excellent, relevant academic results, you will be hungry to explore opportunity and eager to make difference in shaping a better world.
Our recruitment process is both comprehensive and confidential, designed to make sure we’re a good fit and that you’ll get the most from the program you’re applying
We’ve outlined the stages of our selection process below.
1. Initial selection
Your application will be reviewed against the following criteria:
evidence of team interaction
written communication skills
your responses to the additional questions
your working rights
2. Online assessment
During the application process, you will be asked to complete an online psychometric assessment to help us get to know you and your skill set a little bit better. For graduate applications only, if you are successful in moving through to the next stage, you will also be asked to complete a video interview, which will involve submitting a recording of your answers to the questions provided.
3. Assessment activity
This activity will be held at your local Arup office for a morning or afternoon session. Throughout this session, you will get to meet hiring managers from your selected discipline.
If successful you will receive a verbal offer, followed by an employment contract offer pack outlining details of your role, and include further information about Arup and the specific conditions and benefits of your employment.
Your acceptance of a position is by a signed and returned employment contract.
