As a leading Seattle engineering firm, Arup has a history of working on projects that have shaped — and continue to shape — the landscape of the city and the Pacific Northwest.
In 2003 Arup opened an office in downtown Seattle, with the aim of better serving our clients from both the public and private sectors through our structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering (SMEP) services and acoustic, audiovisual, ITC, integrated planning, and lighting consulting offerings. Since that time, the office has grown from a team of four to a group of 60 engineers, consultants, and support staff working on some of the Seattle area’s most innovative projects.
Arup’s new Seattle office on Second Avenue was designed to comply with the WELL Building Standard. By implementing several of WELL’s design optimisations, including healthy materials selection, biophilic features like a large moss wall, easy access to filtered water and fitness equipment, and acoustic control over noise intrusion, our office is on track to achieve WELL Gold.
