Associate Principal | Energy Transition – Australasia Leader

Kellie Charlesworth is an experienced energy and sustainability professional with over 20 years’ experience managing complex private and public sector projects in Australasia. Based in Brisbane, she is committed to helping our clients across a range of industries respond the energy transition challenge.

Kellie has substantial experience managing options assessment for planning projects and business cases to meet stakeholder needs. Her experience includes strategy, planning, impact assessment, approvals, design and construction compliance. 

More recently, Kellie has focused on sustainability and business transition to a low-carbon economy. She is supporting our clients with the short and long-term planning needed to find new opportunities for fossil fuel assets. Working with our advisory, climate services and cities team, she helps asset owners through the initial planning stages, tackling uncertainty, and clarifying their purpose for businesses and communities.

As a people and skills leader, she promotes innovation and technical excellence in our energy business through knowledge and skills sharing. She does this by driving collaboration across projects, expert communities, employees and other industry professionals.

Kellie has worked on many notable projects, including advising on the Queensland Government’s Decarbonisation of the Great Barrier Reef Islands program, The National Hydrogen Infrastructure Assessment and various projects advising the Queensland Government on the future planning of water and energy in Southeast Queensland.  

She is a member of the Advisory Board Member for the Scaling Green Hydrogen Cooperative Research Centre, a member of The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, and an Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) accredited professional.
