Amy Leitch
Amy is an associate and urban resilience and sustainability consultant in our New York office. Her work has focused on shifting traditional engineering and design practice to advance resilience and social value in city climate action planning and on developing integrated, whole-systems approaches across the value chain to improve cities for everyone. Her work focuses on the evolving edge of new professional fields in urban resilience and climate action, impacting the development of these topics as they emerge as the central challenge of our time. She takes pride in contributing to shaping these new areas of expertise as the convergence of climate change, decarbonization, technological disruptors and demographic change impacts people and the future of the planet. Her recent work has focused on embedding social value and equity in city climate action planning and developing integrated approaches to urban resilience and critical infrastructure systems.
Jesse Vernon
Jesse is a communications manager and a bold and energetic intersectional leader, passionate about the power of communications to connect people, inspire action, and shape our built environment. In her role as a technical editor, she leads Arup’s regional technical communications function, partnering with the firm’s technical staff to improve the quality and clarity of narrative deliverables and public-facing reports. She balances grammatical precision with context-informed editing, designing and honing documents for their end use with a focus on clients and user experience. Jesse is also deeply engaged with Arup’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion program, working with global, Americas region, and local Bay Area teams to drive change and integrate social justice into how Arup shapes a better world.
