Arup has signed an agreement to occupy One Centenary Way in Birmingham’s Centenary Square from summer 2023.

Our move allows us to relocate close to 1000 colleagues from our Solihull Midlands Campus to the new office, the latest building under construction at the Paradise development in Birmingham city centre.

We are making a significant investment in our new office which allows us to be better connected to our clients and collaborators. It also supports our intention to attract and develop the next generation of Arup talent.
The move is a natural progression for us; it supports the next step in our sustainable development journey and is part of Arup’s global commitment to be net-zero carbon by 2030, ” Mark Jones Mark Jones Director, Arup

One Centenary Way has been designed by Arup in partnership with MEPC. In addition to complex structural design solutions and innovative use of steel to help minimise embodied carbon, Arup has modelled many of its sustainable design decisions and future fit-out from feedback received from Midlands-based colleagues following a series of ‘office of the future’ workplace surveys.

Mark continues, “Our design seeks to create an environment where colleagues can be authentic and deliver their best work. Agile working is embedded within our culture and design has also been influenced by the ideas adopted by colleagues in new offices around the world. Our Birmingham office will be a global hub for flexible working and collaboration.  It will reflect our personalities and working styles. It’s designed by us, to work for us”.

Arup has enjoyed a development partnership with MEPC for over 20 years and this latest project reflects a joint commitment to teamwork, creativity and sustainability within the built environment.

We have secured 69,000 square feet in an outstanding city-centre position. Our office will be at ‘street level’, showcasing our work and welcoming the communities that we serve. We are very confident that this will enhance connectivity to our clients, strengthen collaborative working with the community and enable us to attract and develop the best talent for a more diverse future ” Mark Jones Mark Jones Director, Arup

Arup will fully occupy the space in summer of 2023.
