How can we transform our coal-fired power stations to avoid stranded assets and catalyse new hubs of productivity which support globally competitive industries and thriving net zero communities into the future?

With abundant and diverse renewable energy resources including wind, solar and hydro, our region is well placed to solve the challenges of clean energy production.

But how can we support an orderly retirement of coal-fired power station assets together with ongoing prosperity of the communities they have supported for generations?

How can communities survive and thrive in a fast-tracked journey to net zero?

Can we plan at a regional and system-wide scale, and implement solutions at a precinct scale to decarbonise and realise wider economic, environmental, and social value benefits?

Join us for a virtual moderated panel discussion

The panel will draw insights from international and local experience to explore how successful transition of our current system hinges on an integrated, collaborative and coordinated cross-sector approach between industry, government, research institutions and community.
