A special committee of the Façade Tectonics Institute (FTI) named Arup’s Matt Williams to FTI’s College of Fellows.

The highest award bestowed by the Institute, Matt’s appointment was announced at the Façade Tectonics World Congress held in Los Angeles on 10–11 October. Fellowship is a lifetime appointment, and Matt is greatly honoured to be recognised by his peers in the façades and building envelope industry.

The Façade Tectonics Institute is an international organisation that carries out broad-based research in building façade technology, with the aim of creating a deeper dialogue and increased collaboration between different market segments of the building industry.

Matt Williams joined Arup’s façade engineering group in 2006 after building a breadth of façades experience in commercial office, healthcare, and historic buildings. He now leads our façades practice in the Americas, co-ordinating and managing the detailed system design, engineering, and building physics analysis, construction documentation, and delivery for building envelopes globally.
