Tan Yoong Heng appointed Arup Singapore office leader

Arup is pleased to announce that Tan Yoong Heng has been appointed to lead the Singapore office with effect as April 2017.

Yoong Heng takes over from Peter Hoad and will continue to lead the robust growth of the Singapore office.

With more than 20 years’ of experience across railway, road, utilities, bridge, water and infrastructure masterplanning projects, Yoong Heng is no stranger to delivering large, multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder projects in Southeast Asia.

Yoong Heng joined Arup in 2007 and has been a part of the leadership team in the office. Some of his key projects include the award-winning Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade, Singapore Sports Hub, Downtown and Thomson-East Coast Lines, and underground space planning in Singapore. Currently, he is lending his expertise to the masterplanning of Singapore’s Jurong Lake District.

In his new role, Yoong Heng will represent the Singapore office as part of the local leadership team comprising: Michael McGowan, Leader of the Transport and Resources Group; Andrew Henry, Leader of the Building Group; and Dr Xu Jingfeng, Leader of the Consulting Group.
