Andy is a Director with over 30 years’ experience in business operations, programme and project leadership, planning, design, engineering, implementation and site supervision of rail and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. He has a passion for maximising sustainable and social value opportunities with a particular focus on the leadership of carbon management, both personally and professionally.

Route upgrades, enhancements, renewals, planning, possession and resource management, depot refurbishment, level crossing upgrades, station regeneration and general infrastructure provision are amongst the wide range of projects in which he has been involved. Currently, Andy is the Engineering and Design Director for the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) West Alliance with Network Rail, BAM Amey and Arup, part of the collaborative leadership team enabling TRU, one of the most significant rail enhancement programmes in the UK.

Andy is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a Member of the Permanent Way Institute and the Association of Project Management. He is also part of the Eastern and North West & Central SHELT Steering Group, an ICE Supervising Civil Engineer, and has contributed to industry publications.
