Associate Principal, Americas South Rail Discipline Leader

Chris Taylor is an Associate Principal and the Americas South Rail Leader based in Arup’s Dallas office. With over 25 years of experience, he serves as project manager and lead engineer for railroad infrastructure and station projects, from planning to design and construction. Having joined Arup in 2013, Chris manages large teams in the development of detailed design and procurement packages for various civil, right of way, stations, facilities, and trackwork design projects. He also has extensive experience with design of resiliency projects including working with MTA NYCT on post Superstorm Sandy resilience.

His experience includes leading engineering for many transportation planning projects as well as coordinating engineering efforts with the various operations, systems, planning, and environmental analyses. Chris also has extensive expertise in conceptual engineering and scenario planning analysis, including stakeholder engagement and public outreach. He has led numerous transportation planning projects including the Texas Central High Speed Rail project and conceptual studies for NJ Transit.
