Ercan Ağar leads Arup's Buildings Group in Turkey, managing a range of projects across industries such as manufacturing, commercial property, stadiums, aviation and masterplanning.

During his 26-year career at the firm, he has held a number of roles working on building services design as well as leading our mechanical, electrical and public health engineering teams, developing significant specialist knowledge in seismic resilience.

A mechanical engineer by training, Ercan has worked in iconic projects including Yapı Kredi Bank Operations Centre, which was a landmark project in Turkey at the time. He has also worked on the Adnan Saygun Art Centre in Izmir, the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden Museum as well as acting as Project Director on the Quasar Istanbul Complex
