In April 2019 Arup invited a 60-strong group of young professionals from 40 different companies to gather for the first time to discuss what their Liverpool should be. During a Drivers of Change workshop facilitated by Arup Foresight, Liverpool City Council Chief Executive Tony Reeves presented what he considered to be the cities key challenges for the young professionals to investigate.
Underpinned by themes including health & wellbeing, mobility & work-life balance, the circular economy and skills & education, the group developed ideas to help make Liverpool an exciting and inclusive place to live and work.
This report summarises their findings and the ideas generated with support from industry leaders from key institutions across the city. Together, they have developed a collection of real and tangible ideas, each with positive impacts for the people of Liverpool.
