Sean Barrett is an Associate Director and Chartered Structural Engineer at Arup working in the Buildings team. He graduated from University College Dublin in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

He has been involved in a wide range of structural and civil engineering work, including airports, university buildings, deep basement construction, concert halls, residential and office developments. Some of his recent projects include the UCD Science Centre, TCD Biomedical Science Institute, Miesian Plaza, Point Campus Student Village and Dublin Airport's IAA Visual Control Tower and Terminal 2. He was also a member of an international Arup team carrying out vital structural safety assessments on textile factory buildings in Bangladesh.
