Stephen Lasser is a Principal and Americas East Government Buildings Leader based in Arup’s Washington DC office. He leads teams to create more value for our clients and communities by addressing their most immediate needs with an emphasis on sustainable development and digital innovation. He is well positioned to continue to help clients take on challenging opportunities, including advising DC building owners and operators on how to successfully adapt to the rigorous energy performance standards of 2018’s DC Clean Energy Omnibus Act.

Since joining Arup in 2004, he has overseen projects of all scales. In the past 12 years, he has focused heavily on government buildings projects, particularly for the federal government. His work has included coordination of multidisciplinary design scopes with architectural and owner agency requirements towards the delivery of complex projects, especially seen through his role as Design Manager on the Potomac Yards Metrorail Station Project in Alexandria, Virginia, and as Project Manager on the New US Embassy in London.
