I am a programme director and part of Arup’s global digital transformation team. We set the vision, structure the business, coordinate operations and manage the finances of our digital transformation. Collaboration is key to successful transformation, and part of our team’s role is to enable strategic partnerships across the firm.

Scalability is one of digital technology’s defining characteristics and strengths. It is an area I have specialised in, looking at large scale digital innovation across organisations, cities, regions and national infrastructure.

My background is in digital consulting. I was responsible for establishing a 50-strong advanced digital engineering team in the North of the UK. We developed digital strategies for the main stakeholders in the Northern Powerhouse, the UK government’s initiative to boost economic growth in the region. Our clients included Liverpool City Region, Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Transport for the North.

I sit on Arup’s regional digital executive and on a number of UK industry bodies, all with a focus on digital transformation and innovation practice.
