Beliy Parus resort, Sochi

Four hectare residential and commercial complex

Spread out along the Black Sea shoreline, with a backdrop of the picturesque Caucasus mountains, Sochi is the most famous of Russian holiday resorts. When Sochi was announced as the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics, a race against time to prepare the city for the expected influx of tourists, athletes and spectators began.

Arup was approached by OSJC ‘OPIN’ to assist PRP Architects with the design of the Beliy Parus (‘White Sail’) complex on the coast. The contemporary design of the four hectare complex allows residents uninhibited sea views and cleverly combines residential and commercial premises with a resort complex comprising:

  • 5-star hotel with approximately 250 rooms.

  • Class A business and conference centre.

  • Underground parking for at least 600 vehicles.

  • Support for retail including a bank, boutique shops, convenience stores and a pharmacy.

  • Restaurants and bars, including outdoor sitting areas.

  • Spa complex and fitness centre.

  • An open air swimming pool for year-round use.

Проектные решения комплекса обеспечивают гостям возможность наслаждаться необъятными морскими просторами, в комплексе продуманно сочетаются жилые и коммерческие помещения.
